Troyer Products offers many different closure (hook and loop) combinations. It is best to contact our Customer Sales Representatives, explain your application including any specific performance criteria such as peel, shear or cycle-life; and the number of openings or closings required.

They will either immediately recommend several combinations that may meet your applications needs or inquire with our engineering staff on possible solutions.

An important reminder is to always test the recommendations in the application to determine if they meet the applications needs prior to purchasing and manufacturing.

The Hook side is the rough or hard side, it is often referred to as the "male", "bristly" or "hard" side; while the Loop side is the soft or fuzzy side and often referred to as the "female", "plush" or "pile" side.

Although there are many types of both hook & loop tape(s), the end use of the product will help determine which product would be best for your application.

Troyer Products will be happy to cut any width material to your exact Measurements (called cut to size).

If the hook & loop materials are to be cut to the same size, we can Cut and Mate the two together to assist in decreasing assembly time.

The yield for cut pieces is equivalent to a full roll of material (25yds = 900 inches) divided by the length you specify (for standard straight cut pieces only).

You can use any cleaner that will not leave a film or oily surface. We recommend using alcohol prep pads.

Industrial Strength, Rough Surface and Plastic Surface VELCRO^® brand fasteners work well outdoors. Please consult the Adhesives Guide carefully to determine which one is best for your application. The best method to remove any of our adhesive-backed products is to use a citrus based adhesive remover. Be sure to read the instructions on the adhesive remover carefully.
